If you're looking for the tightest possible recovery tights, these are your pair. I also own the Under Armour Recharge Leggings, and these Zoots are far far tighter. I do think these tights do help with recovery, too. I play competitive Ultimate Frisbee, and often compete in weekend tournaments where I play for 6-8 hours on Saturday and 4-6 hours on Sunday. I wore these to sleep Saturday night at a tournament and woke up the next day feeling incredible.These tights aren't perfect, though. First, the foot stirrups that go around your feet and ankles are very uncomfortable. I have to wear socks underneath these leggings our else my feet are just in constant pain. I understand why Zoot wants to include compression in the foot (true complete pressure gradient from feet up), but the stirrups are so uncomfortable. Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with the foot stirrups. I wish they were more comfortable, but they keep my ankles... Not everyone experiences this and to address this Zoot now makes a tall length (I have this version) and this helps this problem to a degree. So if you're tall (greater than 34 inch inseam) you definitely need the tall version. If you're not tall you may never run into this problem. The stirrups are a functional component of the compression design as they keep your ankles and feet from swelling or basically cutting off circulation where the compression tight would normally end with tights without a stirrup. It's tight everywhere but the knee patella and the waist which allows you to even sleep with it.
