The Staff and Teachers LOVE them. Very nice and the lines are great for lining up your cut. We had the old GREEN ones and were afraid these wouldn't be of the same quality. I was glad to see these are of great quality and weight. I would recommend this product. This comes fully assembled, and apart from the bulkiness (this is a large cutter), it's a cinch to unpack and use immediately.It cuts very well. Single sheets of ordinary paper are cut easily and cleanly along the entire two feet of the blade. I found I could cut 25 sheets (!) of standard-weight letter-size printer paper with a firm, quick cut, though that's pushing the practical limit. As with all cutters of this type, the cut becomes slightly less straight for the lower sheets, gradually spreading out a bit towards the end of the cut, less than an eighth of an inch for the bottom sheet with the 25-sheet stack I tried. That's substantially less spread than with smaller cutters of this type I've used that cut fewer sheets. (Even for single sheets, there's a very tiny spread outward in the cut, maybe 1/32nd of an inch or less at its maximum at the one-foot mark, as the lower blade bows out just barely, by design to assure better blade contact, I assume.
